The Kathryne Ellington Endowment Fund was set-up after 2001 when the University of Denver community lost a dear friend, Kathryne Ellington. Katy was on an Alpine Club trip to Telluride, Colorado, when she lost control and died in a skiing accident. All donations will be used to provide ski or snowboard lessons and equipment rentals to inexperienced students who have never had this opportunity. These are the DU students that had the opportunity to use this fund, and the officers who brought them to the mountain.
