This Week’s Meeting

Pre-Trip: Ouray Ice Climbing/Telluride Ski and Board Trip

Wednesday Feb. 10th, 8pm in Lindsay Auditorium

If you are already signed up for this trip, you MUST attend this meeting. THE ALPINE CLUB DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS. If you are signed up but cannot go, you must sell your spot. Price includes 2 days worth of transportation, lift tickets, ice climbing instruction, and lodging. Feb. 12-14, $200 members/$240 non-members

2/17: Avalanche Awareness Class – Sturm 453

$5 recommended donation.

Come learn avalanche basics with the DU Alpine Club and Friends of Berthoud Pass!  This trip is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those interested in the Winter 14er Trip, Silverton, and anyone who wants to explore more of the backcountry.  Come to this Wednesday night’s meeting for more info!

Sign-Ups/Information will be held for the following three (3) trips:

2/20: Winter 14er – $15 for members/$20 for non-members

Come experience winter at 14,000 feet above sea level!  This is a great trip for anyone who likes to climb mountains year round.  Price includes transportation and lunch.  Avalanche Awareness Class HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

2/26-2/28: SILVERTON Guided Backcountry Ski/Snowboard Trip – $200 for members/$250 for non-members

This trip is the reason I joined the Alpine Club, and it does not disappoint!  Come experience the wildest, most extreme ski area in Colorado for a day of guided backcountry skiing, and then a day at one of Colorado’s fabulous Gem Resorts.  This trip cannot be missed!  Price includes transportation, lodging, and guided lift tickets.  EXPERTS ONLY.  Avalanche Awareness Class HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3/14-3/19:Spring Break in Jackson Hole, WYO – $325 for members/$375 for non-members

Words can hardly describe how amazing FIVE FULL DAYS of skiing or riding in Jackson Hole will be.  Forget Mexico, JACKSON HOLE IS THE PLACE TO BE FOR SPRING BREAK THIS YEAR.  You will not be disappointed.  Price includes transportation, lodging, and lift tickets.

AMA and Club Rock Climbing Info

Wednesday Feb. 10th, 8pm in Lindsay Auditorium

Our new sponsor, AMA, will be giving out information at the meeting. The new Club sport for Rock Climbing will also be at the meeting giving out information. It’s a Win-Win situation!
