Meeting Time:

  • Located: Davis Auditorium (the big one) in Sturm Hall.

What is Going to Happen:

Get ready for the first meeting of the year…our biggest and craziest one that will happen. We pack the entire auditorium with tons of DU students that love the outdoors just like you. We will get you pumped as we show-off our upcoming trips and events for the upcoming Quarter. Additionally we will be giving away a bunch of free gear, will be showing a bunch of cool outdoor movie clips, and will cause some trouble…

As we said this is the biggest Alpine Club event we have each year; each of our trips range in size from 10-45 people depending on the type of trip. You can learn more about our trips here.

After the meeting we will be doing several things:

  • Membership Sign-ups: click the link for more info, but for $30 you get a DUAC t-shirt, a DUAC nalgene, discounts on trips, and discounts at our sponsors…one helluva deal.
  • Trip sign-ups:
    • Saturday 9/13: Day Climbing Trip $10 members/$20 nonmembers
    • Sunday 9/14: Day Hiking Trip $10 members/$20 nonmembers
    • Saturday 9/20: Day Fly-Fishing Trip $15 members/$25 nonmembers

If you can’t make the First Meeting of the Year we have weekly meetings Wednesday Nights, 8:00pm, Lindsay Auditorium in Sturm Hall. We will also be outside of Sturm with table events during the days for the next couple weeks.
